Beholder is an ongoing illustrative type series examining the impact of contradictory aesthetic on the meaning conveyed by words. Inspired by the old adage - "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", this project takes the concept a step further to explore how much representation effects meaning, as well as subverting the assigned masculine and feminine traits of language.
